A Message From Our Principal, Mr. Filderman

I want to thank each of you, from the bottom of my heart, for your flexibility, patience, and kindness as we navigated this unusual school year.  You welcomed us virtually into your homes, you took on the responsibility of classroom manager, teacher, para-educator, nurse, cafeteria worker, school counselor, all while meeting your own responsibilities as well.  You laughed with us, you learned with us, and you grew with us.

Next year we have some big plans, and I hope that each of you will be willing to support at least one of these major initiatives:

  • Developing a schoolwide Response to Intervention plan to ensure that instruction is both rigorous and responsive to the needs of all students
  • Establishing a more robust PTA that is inclusive of all families
  • Continuing the work of the Parent Advisory Committee
  • Editing/Revising our 2021-2022 School Progress Plan
  • Planning over the summer for an exciting welcome for our newest learners
  • Planning throughout the school year for a thrilling close for our rising middle schoolers

And this is just the tip of the iceberg.  Please complete this survey if you are interested in supporting any or all of the above initiatives.

Our office is open on school days, and we can be reached by email or by phone at (410) 887-0708 between 9:00am and 4:00pm.  For the safety of our students and staff, all meetings are being held virtually and classroom visits are temporarily not allowed.

For additional student support, please contact Mr. McGee (School Counselor) at tmcgee@bcps.org or Ms. Garafola (Social Worker) at kgarafola@bcps.org

If your student is in need of a device or is having technical issues with a device previously issued, please contact the Help Desk.  Please click this link to learn more about creating a service ticket if you are having any issues with BCPS technology.  Please click here to email our school technology support team.

As a reminder, student attendance is monitored daily, including on Wednesday.  Please be sure your children have logged into Schoology to complete the assigned task each Wednesday in order to be marked present for the day.
